Insight into Precoro’s Carbon Footprint
In order to reduce the predicted impacts of climate change, the planet needs to cut emissions in half by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. For Precoro, a provider of sustainable procurement software, the primary sources of our emissions are Goods & Services and Marketing, which together account for about 90% of our total emissions. We are strategically targeting these areas by partnering with environmentally responsible suppliers and adopting digital marketing strategies that minimize the use of physical materials and travel.
How Precoro Strives for a Greener Future
-
Reforestation and Demining Initiatives
In 2023, we planted 500 oak seedlings in the Nizhyn forest in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region. In this area, which was recently freed from Russian occupation, our contributions have also helped clear 100 m² of mined land, thereby improving human safety and minimizing ecological risks such as fires. We have already arranged for an additional 150 trees to be planted in 2024.
-
Environmentally-friendly Office Practices
At Precoro, we approach everyday activities with sustainability in mind. We promote waste sorting in the office and strongly support remote work, with over 65% of our employees working remotely. This not only minimizes commute-related emissions but also reduces a worker's carbon footprint by 54% compared to onsite counterparts.
-
Responsible Supplier Engagement
Our supply chain management includes stringent environmental criteria. We prefer to buy from vendors who have committed to achieving net zero emissions and who can demonstrate robust plans towards this goal.

Goal for Net Zero by 2025
Precoro is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2025. As part of our goal to exceed traditional environmental stewardship standards within the tech industry, we meticulously select our suppliers to reduce Scope 3 emissions, invest in environmental credits such as tree planting, and improve our processes for tracking emissions and setting environmental goals.
