What is fixed asset?

A long-term tangible resource owned by a company, used in its operations to produce goods or services, and not intended for sale. Examples include buildings, machinery, vehicles, and equipment. These assets are recorded on the company's balance sheet and depreciated over their useful life to reflect wear, usage, or obsolescence.
