Product Update, September 2023
What’s new in Precoro this month? Read about added features: budget breakdown for approved documents, Approval Date filter, ZIP attachments, and more.
Budget Breakdown for approved documents
You can now utilize the Budget Breakdown feature for invoices and purchase orders in the Approved status. Previously, it was only available for documents that had either Draft or In Revision statuses.
Budget Breakdown allows users to separate a single budget into different time periods. It is particularly useful to study the budget this way when your company has consistent monthly deductions from the budget, or when recurring expenses are represented as a singular item in purchase orders and invoices.
To enable this feature, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or contact the Precoro Support team, and we'll set it up for you.
💡 Please note that when a document is in the Approved status, you won’t be able to edit how the time periods are divided.

New Approval Date filter
Last month we added the ability to filter by Approval Date. This filter enables you to select a specific date range and search for invoices that received their final approval during that period. It can prove useful for quickly finding invoices that are now ready for payment.
You can search by this filter in the following scenarios:
- Custom report for invoices;
- Invoice Export by Items report;
- In filters on the Create Payment page;
- In filters on the Invoice management page.
💡 Please note that filtering results will not contain documents submitted for re-approval or that have In Revision status. Additionally, when searching by the filter on the Invoice management page, please also set the Status filter to Approved for results to appear.
Improved document and custom numbers search
We've upgraded the search for Document # and Custom # fields. Now, you can search for multiple documents by their full numbers, using a comma (',') as a separator. This feature is available to all Precoro users in both fast and advanced filter sets.
You can apply this enhanced search to the following document types:
- Warehouse requests;
- Purchase requisitions;
- Requests for proposals;
- Purchase orders;
- Invoices;
- Payments;
- Receipts;
- Expenses.
Search feed added to the inventory page
Now, you can use the search feed on the Inventory page to find items across multiple warehouses without the need to open each document individually. Simply visit the Inventory management page and input either SKU, Item Name, or Description into the search feed. Even partial matches will yield results.
ZIP format attachments
We're excited to announce that you can now upload ZIP file format attachments in Precoro alongside our existing supported file formats.
💡 Please note that for companies using QuickBooks with Precoro, the ability to add ZIP format attachments is not available. If you attach a ZIP format file to a document in Precoro and send it to QuickBooks, the attachment will not be transferred.

New Item Row # field in custom reports
Now you have the option to include the Item Row # field in your custom reports for the following document types:
- Warehouse request;
- Purchase requisition;
- Stock transfer;
- Credit note;
- Receipt;
- Expense;
- Invoice.
The field shows the line number of each item just as it’s listed in the document. This data is valuable in various situations, including document analysis and data import tasks.
Improved templates for importing and updating items in warehouses
Updating and importing items in warehouses has become smoother and error-free with the new improvement. Specifically, we've made the New amounts field required. This means that if this field is left empty, you won't be able to successfully upload the file to Precoro and the system will display a message asking you to complete the field before proceeding.
Expanded options for item editing
You can now make changes to the SKU field and Name field for items under the following scenarios:
- In purchase orders that have the In Revision status, even when an invoice or receipt has already been created for the item.
- In invoices created from purchase orders that have either In Revision or Draft statuses.
💡 Please note that for documents with the Matching status, the existing logic remains unchanged. If users have modified the SKU or Name fields in the invoice, these changes will not automatically reflect in the purchase order. To sync these fields across all related documents, simply click the Save button.
We have more exciting updates in the pipeline, so stay tuned for what's to come 🚀.
