Precoro Updates November 2017

We’ve been working hard at making Precoro better and better. Here is what we’ve been up to:

 

User cost-centers

What is cost-centers? Cost-center is a part of an organization that cumulates spendings. It can be users (as your teammates), departments, projects or any business unit you need to sort spendings by, as well as analyze them and control.

First, you’ll need to activate this feature at Configuration -> Company -> Other

This will add “User cost centers” to your Configuration page where you can add and manage them.

Please note: user cost-centers are for user-based business units (e.g. your teammates, departments, and projects) and standard cost-centers are for categories of expenses or chart of accounts.

Added cost-centers will be available for all users by default, so if you need to change permissions go to User’s profile at Configuration -> Company Users and choose which user what cost-centers can use.

Users will have to assign their purchase orders or purchase requests to at least one cost-center.

Also, there will be available reports by cost-centers in Purchase Request and Purchase Orders sections.

 

Approval workflow for Receiving

To use this feature you’ll need to activate it at Configuration -> Company -> Receipt. This will add “Approval workflow for Receive” section to the Configuration page where you can set up a new workflow. But first, you’ll have to choose which users will be able to approve Receiving.

Go to User’s profile in Configuration section and tick the "Receive workflow" option.

Then you will see this user when creating a new workflow for Receiving.

Now the responsible person will have to approve every receiving you’ll create and will be notified by email.

 

Common legal entities for locations

First, you’ll need to add legal entities at Company configuration page, as much as you need. Then you can set which legal entity to use for each location.

Improvements in Purchase Orders

We’ve added “Delivery tracking number” for purchase orders, so you can track orders if they ship via shipping services. 

Also now you can search orders by “External number” - this will help find the orders faster.
